Aug 21 (9 wks) – Happy Eli loves to kick! His favorite game is sitting in this little rocker and kicking off our hands, causing the chair to fly away. He loves it when we count from one to three. He has the cutest little grin when we get on two and he prepares to kick off. Of course we just keep saying “two” suspensefully until he’s ready to kick off! Thanks to my mom for discovering this game!
Aug 21 (9 wks) – He loves bath time … since he tends to pee when he gets in the warm water, I now use two tubs to rinse him off in case he pees in the first tub. Only problem is, sometimes he pees in the second tub instead of the first! (But so far, never both, and also not while I’m drying him off. Fingers crossed!)
Sep 4 (11 wks) – He started raising his little chin up in the air and giggling (night of Sept 3). During this diaper-changing session, he was giggling so much that I had to grab a camera (an actual one, not the phone)!
Sep 7 (11 w 3 d) – We were invited to a cookout by the owner of our favorite Thai restaurant. We came about an hour late because we were trying to get Eli to nap. It didn’t happen (although Eli slept in the car on the way to their new house.) I was impressed that he never got cranky! Delicious food and lots of people cooing over Eli! What a day!
Sep 7 (11 w 3 d) – We left the barbecue early because Eli seemed ready for a nap (read: whining). As we headed out, Eli fell asleep, so we decided to go for a long drive to Target. Then, as we neared Target, he woke up and started getting irritated, so we decided I should nurse him. This is how we ended up at the dog park at Chris Greene Lake. What a picturesque scene! (This is after he nursed on a bench that appeared to be the home of a large, inquisitive honeybee.)
